The Judiciary today convened its Judiciary Staff Award and Retirement Orientation Ceremony, a formal event organized to recognize distinguished service, honour outstanding personnel, and prepare retiring officers for a purposeful life after service. The ceremony was presided over by the Chief Judge and Chairman, Judicial Service Commission, Hon. Justice Aisha Mohammed Usman, who delivered an address reaffirming the Judiciary’s unwavering commitment to integrity, professionalism, and institutional excellence. In her remarks, the Chief Judge emphasized the values of discipline, ethical conduct, continuous capacity development, and teamwork, noting that the strength of the judicial system rests on the dedication and character of its workforce. She encouraged staff to remain committed to duty, uphold the highest standards of judicial service, and embrace innovation in order to improve administrative efficiency and service delivery. The event was attended by the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, and the Head of Service of the State, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Establishment and Manpower Development, Mrs. Belinda A. Oyigbenu. Also present were Superior Court Judges, senior judicial officers, award recipients, and retirees. A presentation for the Retirees Orientation Session was delivered by Mr. B. M. Kuje, who addressed important themes such as post-retirement financial planning, health and wellbeing, and sustaining meaningful engagement after active service. The ceremony reflected the Judiciary’s sustained commitment to recognizing excellence, promoting staff welfare, and strengthening the values that uphold the administration of justice.
